This is my second home-built add-on for YS Flight.

The F-58 Spectre is an entirely fictional aircraft, along the lines of the previously released FA-57 Centaur. It combines a stealthy profile with a lifting body fuselage and 2-D vectored thrust control. Unlike the FA-57 I decided to give it twin rudders, which also act as a monster speedbrake. For the markings I decided to go for a more traditional high-vis scheme - less contemporary perhaps, but more interesting visually.

The exhausts use a unique single vane system to vector thrust, allowing for higher thrust angles than on any other system and thus higher turns rates than any other fighter.

The FA-58 is designed for minimal runway requirements. The intake doors on the upper fuselage allow for landing anywhere, even on dirt runways.

The lifting body is designed to stall at higher speeds and/or angles of attack, so is capable of low-G turns at over 400 knots, but at lower speeds (under 250 knots) it will still be responsive and stable in the air. Dogfighting and ground attack are best undertaken at between 200-250 knots.

I decided to use the bomb-door (CLA 9 in the DNM, or the "1" key in-game) to operate the arrester hook, so it doesn't open when you apply the wheel brake.

Credits to BUCK and ICEMAN for some of the markings (VFA-14 and tail markings) and also (I think) to BUCK for the F-16C pilot.
